  • Bosnia and Herzegovina- a Must-Do on your European Vacation

    May 7, 2020 /No Comments

Bosnia and Herzegovina was always on our route when we were travelling around Eastern Europe, but not somewhere we had done a lot of research on. We had, of course, heard about the Bosnian war in the 90s and knew of some of the main attractions in Sarajevo and Mostar, but that was about it. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cities and…

  • This is Why You’ll Never Forget a Day Trip to Mostar, Bosnia

    September 10, 2018 /1 Comment

Even though we had a tight schedule for our travels in the Baltics, we squeezed in a jam-packed, sight-seeing day trip to Mostar from Sarajevo, which added a different city to our itinerary. I think Mostar is one of the most surprising and beautiful places I have ever visited- and it is so easy to take a day trip from…

Just a small girl living in a world 🌍 of epic p Just a small girl living in a world 🌍 of epic proportions 😍This gorgeous spot down on The Nobby’s, @phillipisland was giving me all the Ireland and Scotland feels when I was there in December. Rolling hills, stunning cliff faces, wind and clouds, and of course the colours 😍One of the things I love most about travel is that despite being on the opposite side of the world, things can still look similar. It makes the world feel a little less enormous, and a little more like home. 🤩
Dreaming of Bali 💭💭This will forever be on Dreaming of Bali 💭💭This will forever be one of my favourite photos!I was travelling solo around Bali for a long weekend on a break from the world a couple of years back. Everything was fuzzy and I was a wreck inside my head, so the trip was all about adventure, relaxing, and eating nourishing food. The day this photo was taken it was HOT. So much so, that when i arrived at the popular rice fields, I actually bought the outfit I was wearing so I could change out of my drenched clothes. It was too hot to walk the fields, and all I wanted was a cold drink and to get back into the air conditioned car, but having come all that way and spent all that money to get there, I didn’t want to miss the chance for a photo. As I wandered the rice field, a girl rounded the corner behind me, before stopping and asking if I could take her photo. I did, and it looked great, so she offered me one in return. With barely a thank you, she hurried away, desperate to get through the fields so she could escape the heat.To this day, this is one of my favourite photos, and I always wonder about her- the girl who took this photo. Was she a photographer? A content creator (she looked the type)? Did she hike the rest of the fields? Does she know how beautiful this photo turned out?Travelling solo over the years, I’ve had a tonne of tiny interactions like this that have stuck with me, and I’ll never forget them. It’s one of the things I love about travelling- how tiny but meaningful things can be.
Catchya later 2020 👋🏻👋🏻Although this Catchya later 2020 👋🏻👋🏻Although this year was rough for many, it was probably one of my best- especially when it came to personal growth.2020 was a year I desperately needed to evolve and focus on myself.I remember how much anxiety I had back in March when the pandemic hit and my plans were sent tumbling. I moved home from Canada completely and utterly lost, and with a lot of scars I needed to heal. I was jobless, I didn’t know what the future held, I was still fresh from finishing my degree, and my dream of travelling the world for a few years was placed straight in the bin 🙄🙄But then something magical happened. I started focusing on me. I became intentional with my goals. I manifested. I got back into doing things that I love. I spent time with my family. I smiled and laughed and let go of the toxic people in my life.I would not be where I am today- the happiest I’ve ever been- if it were not for putting myself first this year. I’ve managed to create a reality I LOVE and so I am thankful for 2020 for giving me the time and space I needed to get my shit together and fall in love with myself and my life again.I’m so excited for 2021 and I can’t wait for all the adventures and laughter and goal reaching. 🙌🏻I hope 2021 is a magical year for everyone and I’m crossing my fingers that the world will finally wake up and get its shit together🤞🏻🤞🏻Happy New Year 🥳
Merry Christmas everyone!! 🎄🎄I’m a littl Merry Christmas everyone!! 🎄🎄I’m a little late to the posting, but that’s because I was too busy enjoying time off away from social media and enjoying time with the family, eating lots of delicious foods, and relaxing! 😆😆Let me know how you spend the last week and your highlights! I want to hear them all! 👇🏻👇🏻
If there’s one thing my recent trip to Melbourne If there’s one thing my recent trip to Melbourne taught me, it’s that Australia 🇦🇺 really does have gorgeous beaches. 🏝I never knew just how nice they were until this trip, when laying eyes on the gorgeous turquoise waters at the southern tip of the continent. 🗺 Sure, I’ve seen many of those in my home state of Queensland along the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Airlie Beach- but never did I think Victoria would have beaches so clear, blue, and popular 😍Australia really is a magnificent place, and although I’m missing being overseas quite a lot right now, I’m also loving getting to explore my home 🥰
Isn’t the world 🌎 magical?🪄Sometimes I c Isn’t the world 🌎 magical?🪄Sometimes I can’t believe what I’ve been able to lay eyes on in this world! Like this waterfall- Wallaman Falls, the tallest single drop waterfall in @NorthQueensland, only a couple of hours from my home.I’ve visited Wallaman several times in my years of living in North Queensland, and each time I’m mesmerised by it’s power, size, and beauty!I feel very lucky to have spent this year out of any COVID restrictions, able to stay safe at home and travel my beautiful state 🌎 the world is a stunning place, but there’s no place like home 😍
It is crazy to me that this time 5 years ago, my t It is crazy to me that this time 5 years ago, my travel journey began. ✈️The last picture is baby me (18YO) on the first day of my first big trip. Half solo and half with my boyfriend at the time to Europe for 2 months of adventuring. 🏰🏛🏔🏞Little did I know that this trip would spark my love for travel. For the world 🌍. For culture. Or, that it would drive me towards a career in travel and a lifestyle as a nomad.Since that day, I’ve visited 35 countries all over the world. I’ve travelled solo, on a budget, and tackled every hurdle that came my way. I’ve moved to Canada, bought a van, and done countless things 18YO me never would have thought I’d ever do like bungee jumping, falling in love with skiing and riding camels in the Qatar desert.I’ve worked in retail, hospitality, and the tourism industry to make ends meet. That’s meant 4am finishers, 60 hour + weeks, tears, stress, and more grey hairs than a 23YO should have 😂I’ve completed my dream degree in writing ✍🏻 and history with the hopes to one day earn a full time income through it so I can travel more. And I’ve worked my butt off to make an online income work for me.18YO me would never have thought I’d achieve any of those things, because they weren’t my goals before that first trip. Only a year after this did I start Oneworldwanderer, and only a year after that did I really decide that the travel ✈️ life was for me.My journey has been slow, hard, and very random, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. That trip sparked the greatest challenges and triumphs of my life, and I’m so grateful I took the leap.Hindsight is a beautiful thing. If you’re waiting to chase your goals, start now. And always remember to reflect on where you’ve come from. Because believe me, what you look back on will be a mountain of beauty, and you’ll be grateful you climbed it🏔
